Teaching Philosophy

Estelle believes that music lessons not only teach students how to play an instrument, but includes learning important life skills such as discipline and attention to detail. She also believes in the power that music has to help student's find their voice, to learn to express themselves and to experience and create beauty.

Estelle focuses her teaching on good technique and classical repertoire, mixing in a variety of other musical genres. Her approach to instruction begins slow, focused on prioritizing sound and comfort.
