ABOUT Estelle

Estelle began playing the violin at the age of 3. Starting at such a young age has given her opportunities to study with a variety of teachers and participate in many orchestra and chamber music groups, including the American Festival Orchestra and the Utah Festival Opera.

Estelle lives in Cache Valley, Utah with her husband and two young sons. Estelle enjoys cooking and spending time in the outdoors with her family.

Education:

Estelle earned a degree in Violin Performance from USU under the direction of Rebecca McFaul and the Fry Street Quartet. 

Since finishing her bachelors degree in 2016, she has gone on to study yoga, completing a 200-hour and a 300-hour training under the direction of Emily Perry. She has also studied Ayurveda in India and Trauma Sensitive yoga at Kripalu in Massachusetts.

Teaching Philosophy 

Estelle believes that music lessons not only teach students how to play an instrument, but includes learning important life skills such as discipline and attention to detail. She also believes in the power that music has to help student's find their voice and the ability is has for students to experience and create beauty. 

 Estelle focuses her teaching on good technique and classical repertoire, mixing in a variety of other musical genres. Her approach to instruction begins slow, prioritizing sound and comfort.
